Good Friday Journey of the senses – SOUND – Stations of the Cross Service free download

HOLY WEEKSt Michael & All AngelsHoughton-le-Spring (4)

I’m not preaching today in our services but I am leading a Stations of the Cross service. To complete the ‘set’ of the 5 senses, the final sense we can focus on together this Holy Week is SOUND. The sounds of Good Friday are shocking, sounds of the nails being hammered, sounds of the women crying, sounds of cries of pain from Jesus and those crucified with him.

During Lent we have been using the colouring sheets of the scriptural Stations of the Cross from Illustrated Children’s Ministry. Different groups connected to church have coloured them in and I have put them up around church for our service today. I have also created this powerpoint show for those who cannot move around the church building with us. You can follow it through from the comfort of your home if you like here! All the music is from the Taize community.

The leader’s version of the service (which includes all the readings) is available in this Word Document. Click on the slideshow below to download the presentation.
