Welcome to my blog.

I am a priest in the Church of England and work as Rector of Barlborough and Clowne in Derby Diocese.

This blog is where I post articles about popular culture and faith and occasionally where I put sermons and other musings.

I am the author of ‘More TV Vicar?‘ a book about Christians on the television.

I have expertise in social media and its uses for learning and communication.

I have a wide variety of interests (as you’ll see from this blog) I love popular culture, tv, film, music and books. I love working with people and I’m a ridiculous optimist – my husband says I’m not a ‘glass half full’ person I’m an ‘Ooh, I’ve got a glass!’ person.

Up until my training for the ministry at Cranmer Hall, I worked in the lifelong learning sector, in museum and library education, at the Learning and Skills Council working with FE colleges, in workforce development policy at the Sector Skills Council Lifelong Learning UK and as an Education Consultant at Frogtrade Ltd – an educational software company working with primary and secondary schools. In 2012 I worked as a social media consultant and trainer at Reach Further – based in Leeds.

I’ve been involved in the Girl Guides nearly all my life, helping most recently at a Guide unit in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. I have also done youth work in a variety of contexts.
