EASTER(LIVE) IS A DIVERSE COLLECTION OF PASSION STORIES BEING TOLD LIVE ON TWITTER THIS EASTER.
Being a huge Twitter fan I had to join in this creative initiative. Every day in Holy Week (starting 17th April) I will be tweeting in character as Salome, journeying with Jesus and the disciples through the passion story.
It’s possible that the Salome (not the ‘seven veils’ one!) who is named by Mark as being one of the women who go to anoint Jesus’ body at the tomb is also the mother of James and John.
Since I was moved by the story of the call of James and John (who leave their father Zebedee to follow Jesus) – I was drawn in even more by the character of Salome. I thought that imagining the passion account through the eyes of a female follower of Jesus would be interesting and a good way to make my own journey through Holy Week.
