Most of my music as a teenager consisted of singles, both on cassette & vinyl. I quite miss listening to singles and being proud of knowing obscure B sides. The bands with the best B sides were easily Oasis & Suede: most of their B sides are far better than the rest of their output.
I used to buy a lot of singles from the bargain bucket at HMV in Southend for 50p – normally a couple of weeks after they were released. There are some quite obscure ones in here. Anyone remember the band Kinky Machine?!!
