I think my parents must have saved this. I got a BA in Classical Civilisation from Leeds University in 1999.

I remember we were a bit miffed that the programme didn’t state the class of degree. It feels uncouth to say it but I don’t tell many people, I got a First. Any smugness on my part was balanced by the fact that I failed my driving test 4 times that year – the first test had a big ‘D’ for dangerous driving on it too! (I still haven’t passed my driving test!)
