I’ve got two days off this week to clear out my attic. It’s the kind of job that you might approach with dread but I’ve come up with an idea to make it fun.
Inspired by the British Museum’s ‘History of the world in 100 objects’ and the accompanying radio programme, I’m going to create a very incomplete history of me by taking photos of 100 objects I find in my attic and posting them on here and Twitter.
I’ve no idea whether this will be fun, emotional or still just a boring chore but I’m sure the resulting blog will be an interesting record of the funny, mundane, nostalgic objects that make up a part of my life.
Watch this space on Thursday and Friday 21 & 22 October & beyond to see the results. I’m going to Tweet using the hashtag #100atticobjects
This picture is of me aged about 4.
Bryony, this blog has bought back so many memories of my childhood! From the Judy Blume book to the New kids on the block cellotaped cassette. This has been so lovely to read and look through. Im thinking about doing a similiar thing myself. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂

And I can recommend Posterous for doing it too, so easy to use and set up.</div><div><br></div><div>What’s great is that I will always have a record of this stuff and will be able to look at it either if I’ve thrown things away or it’s just out of sight up in the attic in a box.<br><br></div></body></html>
