I was so moved and inspired by this documentary. The trailers for it on the BBC made it look like it was about some prima-donna-type boys who were really into cheerleading. It’s actually about some kids from a rough part of Leeds – nearly all of whom don’t have a dad at home – who are in an all-boy cheerleaders troupe. Two of the lads are in trouble at school, one of them, who says he wants his life to be like Billy Elliot, gets an audition at the Northern Ballet.
Well worth a watch until it’s not on iPlayer anymore.
