I don’t purport to be a ‘social media guru’ – there are enough of those around already! However, I would describe myself as a creative ‘early adopter’ – I have been ‘resident‘ in digital social media spaces since 2005 when I was a member of an early social network called ‘Collective‘ on the BBC website and MySpace. My interest grew from there and now I have over 1400 followers on Twitter, am an active user of Facebook and LinkedIn and, of course, recently joined Google + – the new network from Google.
As a result I can provide advice, resources and training based on my experience and very regular use of social media in the following areas. Please click on these links below to access resources and tips for each of these areas:
- general use
- professional development
- teaching & learning
- audience development – for those working in museums, libraries and archives
- event marketing and blogging
- in a Church context – both promoting church activities and reaching out to new audiences
And for non-social media related work I can undertake, please visit my LinkedIn Profile.
